Raised in Carson, California with roots in Tyler, Texas and Bessemer, Alabama, her cooking is steeped in the spirit of backyard BBQs and Sunday dinners.

Inspired by the wisdom of her father, mother, and aunties, Chef Shalamar’s signature style blends classic wood-smoking with homemade soul and hospitality.
